OK…so it didn’t trot…it inched!

We all know that Lee is an opportunist extroidinaire…but her latest feat even took my breath away! On a family outing to the circus, she spotted a magnificent beast, a Trojan Horse and wondered if it would like to find winter quarters at The Treehouse? A few well-chosen words in the right ears and it was agreed the beast could be loaned to us.

So yesterday this immense structure arrived…

Undaunted, Lee rallied troops which included local builders, publicans and chefs, in addition to the waiters from the Memories of Bengal! Thanks chaps!

With Tony at the helm it inched its way onto the drive...

Many thanks to Toti and Nell, founders of Gifford’s Circus, for agreeing to the Trojan Horse resting at The Treehouse; to Tess and Tony for organising its delivery; to the eight, strong heroes who helped it dismount; to Owen for capturing the event; and to Lee for being a wonderful opportunist…

What an amazing leg up for someone’s Individual Project on…The Story of the Trojan Horse!
